Coaching Vehicles Per Train And Coaching Vehicle Kilometres ( Mg Zone-Wise )

During the year 2004-2005, a total of passenger trains were run on the Metre Gauge in the Eastern Zone with and average of 19.6 coaching vehicles, (Intercity 28.0, Mail Express 18.7 and local 10.1 and 0.07 freight wagons) and a total of passenger train were run on the Metre Gauge in the Western Zone an average of 15.0 coaching vehicles, (Intercity 16.9, Mail & Express 16.8 and local 12.4 and 2.34 freight wagons. The total kilometrage travelled by the coaching vehicles on the Metre Gauge in the Eastern Zone 165,599,696, (Intercity 89,261,693, Mail Express 50,595,011 and local 25,742,992and in the Western Zone 32,053,907 (Intercity 14,151,554 Mail & Express 6,386,572 and local 11,515,781). These figures do not include 65,028 and coaching vehicle kilometres run on departmental account in the Eastern & Western Zone respectively. Year-wise position is indicated below:-
